Apajalahti Nature Trail

Not far from the Raita holiday cottage is a nature trail in a private nature reserve. The 2.8-kilometre circular path passes through one of Finland's most prominent common alder woods. In the area there are also nests made by conservationists, where e.g.  Great Gray Owl (Strix nebulosa) are nesting.

The nature trail can also be reached by water, in winter along the ice. The trail from Apajalahti beach to nature path is forested. Karelia Cottages' guests and customers will be informed about the new beach location to the nature trail and the log shelter and cabin.

Some activities are also available in our nature reserve forest
